I hate it when feelings go to waste.

When a good thing dies down. When something of great potential just gets thrown away. All because of one person giving up for no good reason. 

That’s why I’m scared to love again. Fuck it. I know what I deserve and I’m stronger than I’ve ever been, so I don’t see the point in having a relationship right now.. I don’t need it.

Sure, intimacy is something I desire. Sex, it’s human nature to want. Comfort and love, I already have that with God.

If I get into a relationship, I don’t get into it because of intimacy reasons. I do it because I see potential of something long-term. And I’m not talking about a year, or two, or three. If you get into a relationship thinking that a couple years is an accomplishment, you must have thought it wasn’t going to last. 

Focusing on me. I don’t need the arguments, the hurt, the unnecessary bullshit that relationships bring because honestly, that’s inevitably what all relationships have to deal with. I don’t want to go back to that. I’m too young and ambitious to have that kind of baggage in my life. Yuck.

For now, I’ll wait. I know he’s out there somewhere. Just waiting til he proves me wrong.
